The first release in the Johnnie Walker Select Cask range is this expression which was blended using whiskies matured in first-fill American oak casks for at least 10 years, and then finished in ex-rye whiskey casks - which is very interesting indeed!

Nose: Smoky nose of burnt marshmallows and graham crackers.
Palate: Notes of dark chocolate, cinnamon, raisin and toasted oak.
Finish: Smooth and bursting with spice.
Distillery Information
In 1857, Alexander Walker — Johnnie Walker’s eldest son — inherited the store and began improving its selection of single malt Scotch whiskies. In addition, Alexander had apprenticed with a tea merchant in Glasgow and there, had learned the art of blending tea. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
