A specially selected whiskey from George Dickel, blended from casks chosen each year by the master distiller - hence 'Barrel Select'. It's made in a batch of about 10 casks, each having aged their contents for 10-12 years.

George Dickel Barrel Select Tennessee Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Aroma of oak, candied nuts and vanilla, all underpinned by a light wood smoke.

Palate: Caramel, toasted marshmallows, cloves, faint citrus and even mint.

Finish: Long, complex finish containing more oak, corn and cinnamon.

Distillery Information

George Dickel immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1844, where he started a small retail business in Nashville, Tennessee. He added liquor to his his product lines in 1861, and they became very popular.
