Matured in ex-bourbon and dark sherry casks, this expression harks back to the days of illicit stills and whisky smugglers hoping to avoid the notorious Excise Men.

Ardbeg Dark Cove Isley Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Aroma of dark chocolate, linseed oil, dark cherries and smoky peat.

Palate: Notes of plums, black fruit, seaweed and orange marmalade, which is complemented by a bold and peaty undertone.

Finish: Long and deep, with lingering notes of chili peppers and chocolate.

Ardbeg Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands. The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky.
