A limited release, small batch artisan bourbon. This is very unusual, and offers a thoroughly distinctive flavour profile, thanks to its 6 to 10 year ageing in very lightly charred (Number 1 char) barrels.

Jefferson's | Very Small Batch | Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes

Nose: lots of creamy vanilla and warm, spicy flavour. Notes of oak, toffee, hints of smoke.

Palate: Notes of sweet vanilla, spices, toffee, berry fruits, a touch of orange zest, spices and honey.

Finish: Soft and easy-going, very quaffable as it fades out on notes of vanilla sweetness, custard and corn.

Distillery Information

Founded in 1997, Jefferson’s is the brainchild of Trey Zoeller and his father Chet, a famed bourbon historian. They were continuing a family tradition that goes back to Trey’s 8th generation grandmother who was arrested in 1799 for the “production and sales of spirituous liquors.” To personify the brand, they chose Thomas Jefferson—known for his curiosity and experimental spirit. This is a mindset to which Trey has dedicated himself, pushing the boundaries of the definition of bourbon. Upholding tradition, yet always discovering new possibilities.
