This special expression is a limited edition release, named for the legends of the sea around Ardbeg. The deep sea peaty single malt is aged in special Black Sea barrels.

A combination whiskies aged in virgin Black-Sea oak casks and bourbon barrels, this is rich and intense with notes of pepper, treacle toffee, Turkish coffee, dark chocolate and smoky bacon.

Ardbeg Kelpie Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes

Nose: Oily peat, dark chocolate, smoked fish, hints of seaweed, waves of spicy, black pepper and herbal notes.

Palate: Notes of pepper, Treacle toffee, Turkish coffee, smoky bacon and dark chocolate, peach fruit, hickory wood, clove oil and subtle black olives.

Finish: Long with deep, flavors of clove, tar and rich toffee.

Ardbeg Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands. The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky.
